Home: About Us
On September 15, 2005 our 9 month old lab/bull mixed dog got out of our backyard causing great concern. I realized that even if someone found Barney, they wouldn’t know who he belonged to or where he lived. Barney like most dogs had dog tags but one came off and I hadn’t replaced it yet and the other he chewed so much it was useless. While my wife and I were out searching for Barney a neighbor found him and put him back in our backyard. Thank goodness for good neighbors. With a background of 30+ years in the promotional products industry, I came up with an idea to help solve the problem of lost pets. Using the world wide net, as an easy access to information on where a pet lives and how to contact it’s owner, seemed to be the answer. A collar with a web site and a unique number was the key and the birth of InfoCollar.com. No tags to come off, get chewed up or snagged on fence, etc. Collars stay on where tags come off. For Pets That Already Have a Microchip - InfoCollar.com Helps Retrieve Your Pet "4" Ways Faster: Whoever finds your pet can get your phone number in minutes and all your contact information is available 24 hour a day, 7 days a week. Protects Your Pet: Even if the tags come off, get chewed-up or deteriorate. Collars stay on much longer than tags and the website and unique number is sewn into the InfoCollar so they can't come off. Helps The Finder: You are dependent upon the goodness of the finder. Infocollar.com helps the finder return your pet. 1) Infocollar.com and the unique number can be read from a distance - some people are leery about handling a strange animal in order to read a tag. 2) Infocollar.com contains a Pet Profile which contains: photos and detailed descriptions so they are assured of a positive identification, medical records so the finder can be assured that your pet is up to date on their shots, are aware of any medical conditions, allergies, disabilities, etc. 3) The Pet Profile identifies the microchip manufacturer, chip number and phone number. 4) The Pet Profile provides an opportunity for you to post a reward or personal message (temporary alternate contact, your pet's traits, etc.) 5) The finder won't have to transport a strange animal to be scanned or board them overnight should the Vet's office be closed. Is Reflective: If your pet is wandering at night, this feature could save it's life.
